A Part of Stronger NC
The League of Women Voters of Dare County invites you to an educational program on the topic of Public Education. Titled The Status of Education in North Carolina, this public forum will feature representatives from North Carolina education advocacy groups based in Raleigh. The speakers will provide information on up to date educational policy status and initiatives coming from the General Assembly.
“The Status of Education in North Carolina” will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017, from 7 – 9 P.M. at Nags Head Elementary School. The following groups are participating: North Carolina Justice Center (Matt Elinwood), North Carolina Association of Educators (Rochell Johnson), John Locke Foundation (Terry Stoops), and The Public School Forum (Keith Poston).
These professionals work on educational issues on a daily basis and I’m sure you will find their insights to be valuable! After their presentations there will be Q & A.
The LWV believes strongly that high quality public education for all children is necessary to sustain our democratic way of life and the economic health of our state and the people.
