Dare County Democratic Party Convention

April 8, 2017 @ 9:30 am

It’s time for the annual Dare County Democratic Party (DCDP) Convention! Happening Saturday, April 8, at the Dare Center in the Dare Administrative Complex in Manteo. Coffee and donuts served at 9:30 a.m. and the convention business begins at 10 a.m. The keynote speaker will be Deborah Ross, former Democratic candidate for U.S Senate and a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives from 2003-2013. Ross is a Wake County resident, but she also calls Dare County home when at her cottage in Salvo.

Per DCDP Chair, Fountain Odom, “This is one of the most important conventions we ever have held. There is so much work to do on all levels of government to start righting the wrongs of the past several years. It is an all-hands-on-deck situation where there is a great need for participation in getting good Democrats elected to office.”

The convention is open to everyone! Bring a friend or two or three.

All registered Democrats are encouraged to attend because we will have the important opportunity to shape the direction of the Party locally on April 8. This is where positive change begins! We will be electing County Party Officers and 3rd District Delegates to serve for the next two years. Please share this information and encourage people to attend!

Looking forward to seeing everyone!
