We welcome our October speaker, Mano al Hermano Executive Director Ama Frimpong. Frimpong is an attorney who graduated from Salem College in 2011, and from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2014. She dedicated her first years of practice to immigration and criminal defense. Most recently, from July to November 2016, she taught English as a Second Language to high school students in Colombia, South America. Frimpong has demonstrated a commitment to public service, serving on non-profit boards such as the Children’s Law Center of North Carolina. She is thrilled to serve the Dare County Latino population through Mano al Hermano, sharing her organizational and Spanish language skills as well as her legal background.
Frimpong is responsible for the day to day operation of the organization: planning and implementation of programs; allocating resources and funds; managing staff; and establishing and fostering relationships with local civic organizations, nonprofits, and donors.
